Specialty Program Group LLC has appointed Victoria "Vicky" Dearing senior vice president of SPG ExecuPro, expanding its brokerage expertise in medical malpractice, allied health and other professional liability risks.

The Chicago-based specialty insurance distribution company announced the appointment Nov. 3, citing Dearing's more than 45 years of insurance industry experience, including more than three decades specializing in professional liability and complex risks.

Dearing previously served as senior vice president and managing broker at a national brokerage firm. Her background includes medical malpractice, allied health, cyber liability, management liability and other specialty insurance lines. She has led brokerage teams, developed specialty insurance programs and served as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Dallas.

"Her depth of technical expertise across professional liability, allied health, and cyber, combined with her reputation for tackling the most complex and unusual risks in the market makes her exactly the kind of talent that elevates our value to retail partners and clients alike," said Amanda Sedliak, president of SPG ExecuPro.

SPG ExecuPro operates within SPG Wholesale, providing retail insurance brokers with access to specialty insurance markets and coverage solutions for complex or difficult-to-place risks. Its principal areas of focus include professional liability, medical malpractice, management liability and cyber liability.

Dearing said she looks forward to reconnecting with longtime retail brokerage partners and developing coverage solutions for complex specialty risks.

Specialty Program Group operates a portfolio of insurance businesses encompassing underwriting management, wholesale and retail brokerage, digital insurance solutions and related services.
